ZhongYu International Education is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publishing ethics. Our policies are guided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and align with its Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing. These standards ensure the credibility, fairness, and transparency of academic publishing across all our publications.
Editorial Ethics
Editors are expected to maintain independence and integrity throughout the editorial process. All manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process. Prior to peer review, manuscripts are screened for scope, readability, originality, and potential plagiarism using tools such as iThenticate.
Editorial decisions are made based solely on academic merit, without influence from commercial or personal interests. Editors must not be involved in the handling of manuscripts in which they have any conflicts of interest. Any manuscript submitted is treated as confidential and only shared with individuals involved in the review and publication process.
Submissions by Editors and Staff
Editors, employees, or editorial board members of ZhongYu International Education are not permitted to process or handle their own submissions. Any such manuscripts will be assigned to independent editors and reviewers with no conflict of interest with the author. All potential conflicts must be fully disclosed.
Author Responsibilities
Authorship: Authors must ensure that all individuals who meet authorship criteria are listed and have agreed to the submission and publication of the manuscript.
Originality and Plagiarism: Submitted work must be original. Any reused content, including self-citations, must be appropriately credited. Authors are responsible for obtaining permissions for any third-party materials.
Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose all financial and non-financial conflicts of interest. This includes, but is not limited to, funding, personal relationships, academic competition, and intellectual property rights.
Duplicate Submissions: Manuscripts must not be submitted to multiple journals simultaneously. The work must be previously unpublished and not under consideration elsewhere.
Misconduct: Fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, and other forms of misconduct will be handled in accordance with COPE guidelines.
Data Ethics
ZhongYu International Education encourages data transparency and reproducibility. Authors should provide access to raw data, code, and materials where applicable. If data cannot be shared due to legal or ethical restrictions, authors must clearly explain the limitations and how access can be requested under reasonable conditions.
Accepted types of shared data include raw datasets, code and algorithms, protocols, metadata, images, models, and other relevant materials.
Ethical Oversight
We require strict adherence to ethical standards in all forms of research, including:
- Consent to Publish: All co-authors must consent to submission and publication.
- Vulnerable Populations: Research involving vulnerable groups must obtain informed consent and prioritize privacy, dignity, and safety.
- Animal Research: Research must follow ethical review and the 3R principles (Replace, Reduce, Refine).
- Human Subjects: Authors must secure informed consent and ethical approval before conducting research involving human participants.
- Confidential Data: Sensitive or proprietary data must be handled securely and ethically.

- Avoid personal criticism
- Review for ethics, methodology, logic, clarity, and appropriate citations
- Respond in a timely manner or decline if unavailable
